Charli is the primary reason for the success. It's blatantly obvious lol. That's not to say Iggy doesn't play a role- some of her parts are catchy and the whole white female rapper gimmick helps.
Fancy is a jam, regardless. It's better than any Nicki song imo. Nicki is still the better rapper, obviously. Her features slaughter anything Iggy has done thus far.
Charli does make the song, but Iggy rides the beat and pieces it together.

Charlize's hook is the best part of the song but the other reason it works is b/c it sounds like a black girl and a white girl coming together. It's like the black&white sisterhood song of the Summer. That's why it works best on the radio where you can't see that they're both white.
