I respect and agree with this idea completely.
However: the unfortunate consequence of doing this in the rap community is the trivialisation concept. People (especially younger generations ignorant to details in history), forget the implications behind saying something and just partake in the copycat effect that popular culture delivers. And hence, we get these kind of scandals today, even when genuine racism is not in the slightest bit involved. Lots of people don't necessarily see the big deal because of its trivialised nature. It just goes to show the influence of popular culture.
