This is why I wished she spread ARTPOP's promotion worldwide and didn't cancel promotional tours in Australia, Germany and France instead of putting the majority of effort into US this era alongside promotion in just the UK and Japan.

DWUW did a lot better here than in the US but Applause becoming a left-field smash in the US far outweighed the two-single semi success here.

Alejandro is such an epic song. I wish it had a different video - Gaga in a rural setting, jean bodysuit, high heels, killer sunglasses. Maybe some references to war? I just wanted it to be more colorful.

ARTPOP sold 60,000 and it hasn't been promoted in France.
ARTPOP could have been huge here too if she promoted it here. Too bad she didn't

I think the reason they did that was because they felt that BTW did better WW. They wanted to repair her image in the U.S before they really worried about everything else. In fact, they kind of ended up worsening it with messing up the DWUW video release, but it's not really all that bad and she can recover.

Paparazzi and Alejandro are the songs I go back to the most from those two albums. I've always kinda thought Alejandro was a dark and bleak song before the MV though. I dunno. I never got the fun and summer vibe a lot of you did.
