Pitchfork isn't credible for pop music anyway. Don't they hate pop music in general, because they're so ~indie?
Problem by Ariana Grande and Chandelier by Sia are both named Best New Music by Pitchfork, they also loved Sky Ferreira's album. They don't regularly review Pop though, it's just not what they do.
No one i know reads/follows Pitchfork (thank God, i'd be so embarrassed for them).
Edit: there's one, but he's a fat college dropout, which says a LOT about their readership.
A few of them read ComplexMag and such--but who doesn't love Complex?

Im saying most ppl think pop artists are jokes despite of whatever supposed acclaim. mariah voice and vocal talent was taken seriously up to a point.
