A sellout record is when you make meangliess songs to be hits, Red hasn't.. even the MM songs have meaning, but just because it's Max Martin, they are trash and sellouts, right? If they had produced by Nathan Chapman, NOBODY would have said anything against them, just like with Starlight.
I wish you all really, just really stop to focus on 3 songs out of 19 for God's sake! But i guess it's so hard to think about State Of Grace, Red, Treacheours, All Too Well, The Lucky One, Begin Again (etc), right? No, instead Red is only MM.
But i know that when the next album will be out, Red will be amazing, will be country, like it happened when Red came out and Speak Now became country magically when during the era it was bashed for being too pop(rock) :/ LOL
And just like i said in the other topic: isn't it worse remixing country songs(Love Story, Our Song, TOMG) to make them be played in pop radios instead of actually making a pure pop one?
Really, what do you want? You want her not to EVER EVER grow up as an artist and still writing about princess and prince, fairytales, how that guy is an angel, or how she dances in the storm with her best dress? I want her to continue on evolving no matter if she will do more pop songs or not, her pop songs are still better than the others made by pop-stars. But this is just me, since i didn't care with the genre from the very first day and i only focused on the lyrics.. To me, Taylor can even make jazz if she puts a lyric masterpiece like Dear John or Enchanted, i don't care about the background music, maybe that's why i didn't feel disappointed with her goint too pop, simply i don't care LOL
