I think how she wrote Poker Face was brilliant. Classic Gaga piano writing at its best. It started out as Captivated, then she tweaked it into Poker Face, and then was able to use that and rework/write it on a few different occasions (SNL New York, Red, etc.).
Proof that the best Gaga songs start out at the piano, not with some DJ giving her a beat to write over.
I wish she had gone through with the plan to release Red though. I really like the idea of not only having an upbeat and ballad/acoustic version of the same song on one album, but her rewriting her own song and essentially turning it into something new.
