Of course Michael Fassbender didn't carry "X-Men: Days of Future Past," since the series is back to being "The Wolverine Show," again. But Michael Fassbender is a very big draw for "Days of Future Past," seeing as critics described his performance as Erik Lensherr in "X-Men: First Class" as a "beacon of hope" for the X-Men franchise (and they were right), and one of the main reasons "First Class" was so well-received and successful. "Days of Future Past" wouldn't even be happening without the success of "First Class," because, remember, "First Class" was supposed to be its own separate trilogy, not connected to the other films. Meanwhile, anyone can be substituted for Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. She brings nothing to the role, whatsoever, but critics are obligated to say something nice about her "performance."
