And honestly, BTW - the album - played the biggest part in all of this. It tarnished her brand in the eyes of the GP and the one thing that stayed in my memory after BTW era for a long time was this

I know she doesn't care and most of her fanbase doesn't care either, but I almost wish BTW never happened.

Byeeee. I know you don't like the album OR that era, but the statistics show how huge the BTW era was. Yes, it alienated a lot of people, but she was still one of the biggest pop girls of her time during that era. Like literally massive. The only person I see coming for that era right now is Adele and that's not even really a surprise. I am glad that you semi-rectified your statement with "almost" though. Keep it cute

You know me. And yeah, I bolded the almost part for a reason. And I will never EVER deny the impact BTW had on many people nor will I say it wasn't a successful era. It was huge and I know it.

- Feature on a summer anthem to get the clubs (and heteros) back on board.
- Drop C2C to remind critics and doubters of her talent/uniqueness, acts as reset button.
- Sign a deal with Pepsi and have a very POPART 60s looking ad released that celebrates pop culture and her iconography (but not in a Beyonce multiple-look way). Think bright colours, Candy Warhol, Pepsi cans in her hair etc.
- Transition her look from 60s to 70s as she goes to space and releases album #5.
Album #5
Genre: Alt-disco-pop with R&B flavour.
Sound: Minimal, textured, groovy production with haunting ballads and catchy hooks.
Producers/writers: Rick Rubin, Stuart Price, Timbaland, Paul Epworth.
Collabs: Justin Timberlake, Beyonce.
Think: DWUW and SD soft-infectiousness, meets a darker 00s Kylie with some less-plodding Dope moments.
Look: 70s hippy glam. Think Cher meets Stevie, heavy eye make-up with the era hair being 'blondette'. Stefani's brunette is returning, phasing out the blonde of Gaga. A sign of things to come.
Why?
Because this is where the pop sound is going, and it's time for Gaga to evolve without entirely disowning her past. This is enough of a change to satisfy those who doubt she can do anything but be the wacky blonde popstar in costumes making eurodance, but she's still pop enough for fans and radio. If done well, it'll still feel very Gaga...just more pre-Fame Gaga meets BTW Gaga.

Do you guys think that her space performance will get the GP back on board?? I can't see why it wouldn't myself but I'm wondering what others think

Only if she debuts a ****ing great song.
At the end of the day, it's always going to be about the music. She just needs to make good music that everyone can enjoy.

Judas has almost as much views as Telephone and Alejandro.
Look what having a good, short, and simple music video does for your view count. Lady Gaga and Katy Pert can both learn from this as of late; don't make an epic MV unless you have the music to match it (or the MV can surpass it). Paparazzi is an epic song thus deserving of an epic music video. The Edge of Glory is an epic song with a simple (and terrible) video. Make the image match the song unless tonal dissonance is a point you're making.

I don't think anything can get the GP back other than a complete image overhaul sadly. I can't see the space performance even happening tbh.
