She has a ear for good music which to me is a talent because not all artist have shown that consistency and capability over time. She has co-wrote and nobody has ever questioned her involvement with her music which shows she is somewhat involved. Talent doesn't have to mean single handedly writing all your music because if your music is **** then there's no credibility(Katy). Most artist write or contribute their music within a group in a studio like Rihanna.
Saying she is an okay vocalist doesn't mean shes not talented because the average human voice can't hit the notes how she can, or sound as pleasant.
Talent is overrated anyway

Yeah but the point of a talent is something that you're EXCEPTIONALLY good at. Everybody can technically sing, it's singing GREAT that makes it a talent. just like everybody can run, everybody can rhyme, everybody can take pictures. Those are just skills.
It takes being OUSTANDING at said skill for it to be considered a talent. Being just okay at something isn't necessarily being talented at it. Being a GREAT rhymer is what seperates a talented rapper from just a person rhyming. Being a GREAT swimmer is what seperates a TALENTED swimmer from people just swimming around @ the summer pool.
Just because you CAN do something doesn't automatically make it a talent unless you're super good at it

I can draw...but I wouldn't consider it a talent of mines because I'm not that great at it. I'm ALRIGHT but it's nothing special?
