Born To Die sold over 50k on its first day in the UK. I think she'll beat her previous first week tally of 116k with Ultraslayage. Now the US has caught on, added to the fact Lana is global (Eastern Europe, Brazil and UK all STAN), WW first week should be very interesting.

Yeah it was but keep in mind Chris has been locked up throughout this entire release. Trey Songz is FREE and has performed Nana at Summer Jam, done radio, promoted online, had a countdown for the damn song/video etc. Chris has done literally nothing.

VANITY FAIR: Remember the Julianne Moore of the 1990s, the one who delivered mad, pantsless monologues in Short Cuts and bounced around the room in a cocaine-induced mania in Boogie Nights? It was what I’ll affectionately call the era of Crazy Julianne Moore, this extraordinarily gifted actress rattling around at extremes with dazzling results. It was a lot of fun to watch, and while she’s certainly done plenty of wonderful work in the last decade plus, I’ve sort of missed the wild woman. Which is why it’s such a pleasure to see her as a glorious maniac in David Cronenberg’s new film Maps to the Stars, which has its Cannes premiere tonight.
Playing Havana Segrand, a faded actress trying to make a comeback, and whose late mother was an abusive nightmare nonetheless adored by a cultish fanbase, Moore is a delirious jumble of pain and anxiety. In private she’s a primal screaming mess, but outwardly she’s a carefully sculpted approximation of Angelino ease, zen and centered and all that other ********. Moore plays both halves of this broken woman perfectly, giving a performance that manages to be a blistering caricature of a particular kind of Hollywood vanity, while still being deeply sympathetic. Moore is not kind to poor Havana, but she sees her humanity, and affords her at least that basic dignity. I haven’t liked a Julianne Moore performance this much in a long while.
