the call center stuff yall have posted in here is completely accurate
if you ask for a 'supervisor' you dont actually get our supervisors. we have a group of about 16 people who are called 'pros' which is basically the next level up from being an agent. the pros' main job is to help agents if they have questions about a call or cant find the answer in our 'info database' but they also take the calls if you ask for a supervisor. all our actual supervisors do is go to meetings all day
and the Mute button is our best friend. we only get 1 or 2 random calls monitored per week and ive learned that they generally only do 5-10 minute calls...so if i have a horrible customer, once that call gets to about 15 minutes ill press the mute button and make them think we've disconnected so theyll hang up
and i definitely agree with the person a few pages ago who said that if it's busy and we're getting one call after another, ill stay in the after call documentation screen for a few minutes just to get a breather even if im not typing anything
ive also used my company's customer database to try and find celebrities' phone #s and addresses but so far ive had no luck finding any of them

This. I was one of the managers, and if someone took food without paying, I had to discipline them. However, at my specific Mcdonalds, we had certain "repeat customers" who would argue with anyone who disrespected one of our workers.
I only have trade secrets. And I can't say those over the internet. Sorry yall. I'm a flop.

As a cashier it's my job to solicit credit. It's no secret but we get commission for every credit we make. I always focus on young men and fresh 18 year olds because they never give a damn and only care about the percentage off. We DO talk **** about you if you're rude or smell or look weird. At my work, a lot of the minority groups (mostly asians) are the cheapest people on the planet. With multiple discounts, they're still willing to argue until basically they walk away with close to NOTHING. Oh and at my store (won't say where because I'm sure I've said it before), if you say you forgot a coupon, we are REQUIRED to give it to you. Most people abuse the system though. We hate it but there's nothing we can do about it. Oh and there are secret shoppers in our store. They dress like normal customers. They even pretend to check out. If you see someone on the phone at the register, be suspicious, because they're most likely talking to the people in the back who's telling them who's stealing. Also if you DO steal, we're not aloud to chase after you. And if you get caught stealing from the loss prevention people (secret shoppers), legally you CAN walk away from them as they have no right to hold you.

Employees really can spit in your food in a fast good restaurant if they feel like the customer is rude

I have some tea.
Gather round children.
I work as a retail associate.
My job requires me to do the following according to my manager as follows.
Be cashier, work alone for 3 hours when the manager is on his break and hope I get a break when working a full 8 hour shift, answer all phone calls, personally greet every person who walks in and walk up to them from behind the register, answer any and all questions, be security and if the alarm sounds search their pockets, put inventory back, must sell at least ten dollars worth extra of what is being promoted on the checkout counter, clean bath rooms, windows, ect; be good looking, follow all African Americans who enter the store, and all for minimum wage.
Guess who I work for?
