That obviously wasn't the sole reason of her success. She actually has talent and a bit of star quality that the others don't. But still, her 2nd name is the reason she really broke through.

MadTV just made more risky humor than SNL. I saw some SNL clips and it was like watching a Katy Perry concert to me

Mad TV obviously had a peak, but it never got as unbearable as SNL. Very consistent, funny and creative.
