I believe she was blacklisted when she refused to apologize at some award show like JT did. She didn't believe in apologizing more than once and that's why she got the boot.

I believe the sex book accompanying it was one of the most searched things on the internet a year ago(I'm paraphrasing here). The album has a legacy and is one of the boldest pieces by a pop girl in the last few decades.

Madonna is a bigger artist than Janet despite her up and down success in the 90's so she can have that one song because Madge has several that obliterate it.
