I think his parents did what they could short of locking him up. He was receiving psychiatric help, his mom sent people to check up on him periodically it seems, even called the cops on him after seeing his videos, or at least a social worker did. Apparently when people/police would check up on him he would put on a very charismatic show.

Aside from the obvious wishes to the families of the victims, can't help but feel bad for the mom that tried to help her son and must be mourning as well. A rough time for so many. Let me know if there is any kind of foundation drive for the victims, I'd love to leave a donation.
