Kendrick Lamar deserved Best Rap Album by far. Every last one of those other albums are forgettable, and I honestly think good kid, m.A.A.d. city will go down as one of the best 'debut' albums of any genre. This is the Grammys, though, where the Black Eyed Peas won a Grammy for "Don't Phunk With My Heart" in the rap/hip hop field. They always fail at the rap field.

That has nothing to do him winning Best Rap ALBUM, though. If anything, those things are reasons for his Best New Artist win or his nominations in general.
