CIL is just as iconic. Hell, it's still highly referenced more then 10 yrs later. I would say SL is close, but things like Itunes, YT, and Twitter have highly elevated what is perceived as iconic and legendary. Had BOMT been exposed to social media the way SL and other songs have been, who knows what kind of impact it would have had.
