Unless they recorded the song, Adele and/or her label(s) decided that she didn't want it out there bc it would hurt her own lead single/album, and Wiz is just trying to cover now for speaking too soon.
I definitely believe they recorded a song together, it's just like you said, I don't think she wants it interfering with her own single.
She probably thought his album would be out last year or something, hence why she agreed to do it.
Adele's comeback song definitely needs to be her own, not a song for someone else's album.
Not sure about that. How exactly can we dig further? W/e either way we are not hearing a song by them so idc anymore lol
If people know it exists, they'll try and get it to leak, and Wiz's team obviously isn't like Adele's team where they make sure unreleased tracks don't get leaked, so it could easily get leaked if his team gives wrong people access to the track. Therefore, they resolved the issue by claiming the song was never recorded.
I'm so sick of people saying "happy" Adele music will probably suck or won't be as good.
Is it really that hard imagining her singing music that comes from a happier place? It'll probably sound similar just with more positive lyrics.
Happy music isn't that difficult to write.
It's Adele, everything she does is genius. Happy music is rather difficult to write, especially when you're so used to writing about heartbreak. Trust me, I know. I'm a songwriter myself and it's much easier to write songs about heartbreak than it is happy songs. If anyone can do it, though, it's Adele. She has a good group of people working on it with her and even what she accomplishes solo is incredible. Everything she touches turns to gold... Well, actually, platinum and diamond (), but regardless, you get where I'm going with this. She's going to sound as amazing as ever, and haters can stay pressed.

It's going to kick ass. It's going to kick so much ass that there will no more human asses left to kick, so then it will start kicking aliens' asses. They're just scared XD

I just think the problem is people notice their feelings more when they're sad or angry and less when they're happy. Hence why when you write music, you always draw from feelings you remember the most. I don't know if I'm explaining that well or not.
Once you step out of that mind frame and focus on writing about other feelings, it becomes a lot easier. Plus there's been a lot of inspiration to come her way since 21 (relationship, child, etc).
If this was any other artist, I could understand people saying that but Adele knows she has to deliver with this album and we all know she wouldn't put something out unless it was amazing. She knew she had to better herself with 21, and she did, and she knows she has to deliver with this album and I know she will.

Right, I do agree with you. I think another thing too is that nowadays, when you think of happy music, a lot of it is generic pop music. A lot of music-listeners I'm sure would agree that nowadays, most music is classified as either happy (dance / pop) or sad (ballads). Yeah, there's other genres, but for the most part, the general public thinks this is the only two types of music out there, or at least, all those who only listen to Top 40 radio. There are certain ideas as to what it has to sound like for it to be happy or sad and really, it doesn't have to be like that. You know what I mean? Adele could very well write a slow song that's one of the happiest songs ever written. People have released really fast-paced dance songs that are, believe it or not, ballads and lyrically very sad songs. But I agree with you 100%.
And Adele knows the amount of pressure on her and I think that's why it's taking so long. It's not that it's not good, it's just that she wants to make sure she's perfect before she puts it out, and that's understandable. That's a lot of pressure to put on one person, but I think if anyone can handle it it's her.
