Don't play the female card. Play the quality card. Drake releases records like "Hold On, We're Going Home." Nicki Minaj releases records like "Starships." Drake caters to both mainstream and urban audiences because, one, he's a likeable personality, and two, he releases quality music. Nicki Minaj is not a likeable personality (she absolutely destroyed her standing with the general public with that Mariah Carey feud). Additionally, Minaj's music is just... not good. But I agree with you, in that, her indecisiveness on who she wants to sell to is
killing her career. Using pop producers to produce a boring hip hop record, and using hip hop producers to produce a generic pop record? Nicki Minaj is as confused as Justin Timberlake.
