All the Max Martin songs during that period sounded exactly the same.
Even the structure was always the same, verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge that is a modified version of the chorus/chorus
Good Girl Gone Bad, Loose and The Fame/Monster were more entertaining and better musically than anything from the bubblegum era. I remember rushing to buy GGGB the day it came out
I mostly use that era for the videos. There's something sleek about choreography and the videos looked more polished, idk. Videos now seem to just be compiled of boring beauty shots or like a party (see: Just Dance, I Kissed A Girl, & Pon de Replay - 3 debut videos from three defining pop stars of the last decade all being a house party or a club ).
