Not True. There are many artists that release their albums in the spring/summer. But here are Katy's album release dates and none of them prior to Prism was released in 4th quarter- October-December.
Perry's second album One of the Boys was released on June 17, 2008, to mixed critical reviews
Perry's third studio album teenage Dreams was released on August 24, 2010
A solo album she had worked on with Ballard was scheduled for release on August 18, 2005 but was cancelled and Perry was subsequently dropped from Columbia Records

Gaga released her second studio album, Born This Way, on May 23, 2011
Again, Prior to Artpop Gaga released her albums in Spring/Summer.
Taylor setting a trend! Release those albums before the Holiday's.

Rihanna didn't begin releasing her albums in the 4q until 2010, prior they were release in Spring/Summer.
Her debut album, Music of the Sun, was released in August 2005
A Girl Like Me was released in April 2006.[
For her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad. released May 2007

But TD was still reeleased in summer.

I really think this is a reach tbh.
It just has the best sales climate and they want to maximise their coins, so they release their biggest acts in q4.
At first the artists you mentioned we're not the buggest acts, but after their smash eras they were so they got their q4 release.

Especially the one during fearless where she gives Ellen that 5x plat cd.

I would agree with your argument except Taylor has released every album in 4th qtr, including Fearless. She surely wasn't the biggest act out there with her debut album. Granted, she is with a indie label and they are with major labels. But, Coldplay and Pharrell just released their latest albums in April/May. Justin T released 20/20 Experience in March 2013. Ed Sheeran is releasing his album in June.
I believe their record labels looked at Taylor selling 500k+ opening week with Fearless , Speak now and Red 1 mil + albums first week.
Just an opinion, not a fact.

Thank you for seeing my point. I don't pretend to know why labels release albums at certain times of the year. But, Taylor has always been consistent with her album release dates its either Oct or Nov. and I noticed the other girls started to follow suit. I believe the labels looked at her success.
Unfortunately it failed, Katy moved maybe another 80k+, Gaga -700k, Rihanna status quo, Beyoncé capitalized but after 6 months she's barely sold 2 mil albums in the US . I think it will take her 18 months to sell 2.5 mil albums US, WW 3.5 mil.
