Today I realized Rihanna is one of the first pop stars of her kind. She is kinda underrated and when she's gone is when people will appreciate what she brings to the industry.

She is one of the few stars who doesn't coddle her fans, or create a barrier. She treats us as her friends, equals. Some may think she's mean but we also drag Rih just as much.

She has improved more than I thought possible since PDR. And while some try to underrate her voice because it doesn't fall into what others believe it should sound like she has carved out her own niche.

She will have a long career even if her next album tanks because she now is much bigger than just her music.

I don't think her next album will let us down, but she is already solidified and I think people have slowly come around to the fact that she Is here to stay whether you like her or not.

If I was head of marketing for it, I would have made it THE event of the year and have people from China flying in to come and see the show.

I love that Rihanna's whole career has kinda been that way and she's held that attitude. She doesn't make anything seem like an event per se but she still has broken records each time which makes it seem so much more effortless and less cringey. She's not self absorbed about her music or her projects so she never hypes them. She gives hints or remains quiet, releases and slays

Loud was a departure from Rated R which is what we all wanted at the time something lighter and more feminine.

Talk That Talk was Loud with a little more Depth, gritt, kinda more edge. Sure we wanted an extension of Loud but she gave us an album that was not only an extension but some songs that were more daring(Red Lipstick, DOL).

And Unapologetic encompassed what we all love about her the diversity while taking it even further. The vocals we have been asking her to give more of.

She has always given us some element of what we wanted while doing what she does best I'm not worried.

Not having events in her career isn't really a good thing for her because when speaking about something people won't necessarily be able to compare her to the futur artist. Like we can see people saying this was reminiscent of Michael Iconic performance etc... while with Rihanna there nothing that does that. Because most of her records aren't infinite, they will be broken and once there broken.. welp. She needs stuff that people can be like "Oh remember when Rihanna did this? That is definitely what this newbie tried" Obviously people are saying it now with Rita, Miley and Selena cause we can see the direct reference but when she's 70 and the newbies are 16.. the new generation won't get it. I don't want her to force either like some artist, just let those events happen "naturally" but even for a "natural" event you need to put efforts and things in works for it to happen.

Be careful with these words because we only see a particle of the Navy fandom. The Navy is such a large and diverse group because Rihanna has always been versatile (except recently) so to say stuff like "we all wanted" you can't say that with the Navy. Most fanbase all have the same niche and all like the exact thing because there fave has been doing the same thing since there debut but not Rihanna. So you can't say stuff like "we all wanted" when it comes to The Navy.
