I was actually surprised that so many people preferred Taylor to Katy. I thought the majority of ATRL thought she was a mediocre songwriter who only writes about break-ups for 12-year-old white girls. That landslide though

I don't know why. I prefer Taylor's writing to both of them tbh. Avril's writing sounds likes a watered-down version of Taylor's most of the time imo. Lana is a good writer, but she still can get pretentious/writes a lot of nonsensical lyrics with some really silly metaphors. To each his own anyway.
