I honestly wouldn't mind if they pulled the plug on the era. They're not gonna release the songs I want anyways and Birthday is just taking up time and effort. It Takes Two and LL or just end the era and have her pull a Rihanna and move on to the next one. No re-release either.
Though, I think they should wait a month or two after Bday is done to release Legendary Lovers. Let people miss her. Then come back with another unique sounding song. I think DH has cursed her forever. No more generic songs for Katy. DH is so damn epic that that's what the GP public expects from her now. Catchy pop songs but with originality.
Oh My God... does that mean "Black Widow" is bound to be DH 2.0?!
Is this gonna be Katy's first single to sell less than 1m
It could still get there:

5, "Birthday," Katy Perry (29-25)
Coldplay could score its biggest hit since 2008's No. 1 "Viva La Vida," as the hooky "Stars" takes the band into EDM, thanks to Avicii's production and writing. Sheeran's "Sing" and Perry's "Birthday" (another BBMAs performance Sunday) are both still early in their chart, and radio, lives. Both also boast potential to cross further to adult formats, which could extend their runs after they peak at pop radio. And, "Sing" features Williams' magic writing and production touch.
