So here's my first listen rate:
1. Cry - 10/10 - I was literally in tears, it's so Butterfly/Rainbow-esque.
2. Faded - 7/10 - I am trying to love it, but I guess I just like it on first listen.
3. Dedicated ft. Nas - 10/10 - This is unquestionably the best on the album, production is on fire, the vocals were on point, the whistles are so good, the lyrics are great too, the raps are not ruining the song (ala Breakdown and Side Effects) and actually adds flavor, and I love that ending too, I still don't know who was the guy singing at the end. But it's really fun, summery, feel-good song and THIS SHOULD BE A SINGLE, should have been a good follow-up for #Beautiful.
4. #Beautiful ft. Miguel - 10/10 - Now this song just never grows old. I have a lot of roadtrip memories with this! After listening to this, I already decided MIAMTEC is better than Memoirs.
5. Thirsty - 6/10 - Sorry but this is the worst I've heard in the album, dated production and chorus, terrible vocals, it's very Triumphant except there's no rap, the chorus is so averaged, it could have gotten a score below 5 if it wasn't for the "Uh you're thirsty" and "Best thing that happened to your a** was me" lines. This is not so single-worthy, it's never going to be hit nor it's going to chart in the Bubbling Under. This is a really poor attempt at rehashing Migrate, it's nowhere close.
6. Make It Look Good - 7/10 - This is probably because it's a first listen, I know this will grow in me after a couple more plays, though I don't find anything special in it yet aside from being different from the rest.
7. You're Mine (Eternal) - 6/10 - I don't like it that much. The remix with Trey slays though it could pass for a 7.
8. You Don't Know What to Do ft. Wale - 10/10 - Now this is fire, I kinda like the throwback vibes to it, and it could work perfectly well in the charts, it's so catchy and damn JD is proving me wrong again. I won't be mad if this gets the single treatment especially when compared to Thirsty.
9. Supernatural ft. Dembabies aka Monroe and Moroccan aka Roc n Roe - mess at the featuring though, I can't at this bish playing like that, but surprisingly the song is good, it's actually played out better than what I was reading in the reviews here. Thank God I lowered my expectation with this song and now it's above my expectation. I kinda like the key change, it wasn't too random, I swear you guys are too much.
10. Meteorite - 8/10 - Now this is not what I expected and the reviews are too overrated. But I know it'll grow more after a couple listens!
11. Camouflage - 10/10 - Damn this is so emotional, I can't.
12. Money - I downloaded an LQ version of the song, so I decided to skip it.
13. One More Try - 9/10 - it's a very beautiful cover, and I never heard the original. The vocals are awesome and after listening to this I was already convinced MIAMTEC is already better than E=MC2.
14. Heavenly - 10/10 - OMG this is not what I expected, the vocal slayage, take me to heaven Mimi, omg I just died and sprung back to life, this is just so perfect!
15. Almost Home - 10/10 - it couldn't have gotten a perfect 10 if I never put it as the last track. I cried when the big vocals came in at the end. And the ending of the song is really great for the album! Like BANG!
Overall on first listen I could give it as much as 9/10. And yes I can confirm this is her best album since Butterfly!
