HOWEVER, for people to say that this video will win because it's good or original is nonsense.
1) Like Mikal said, it's not even original for Britney. We've seen this before -- the whole paparazzi, 'leave me alone' thing. "Overprotected" and "Everytime," anyone?
2) The choreography is horrible. The plot might be there, but Brit's "moves" are just ridiculous. I think Hilary Duff's choreography in "Stranger" was better.
Oppose?

Sympathy on MTV's part? That's the last thing Britney has ever had. You said it yourself - the fact that original/well done/controversial videos such as Baby One More Time, I'm A Slave 4 U, Toxic and Everytime didn't win an award says it all.
Britney, to all opinions, should have already won
at least 1 VMA award.
[What's most ridiculous is the fact that a few years ago MTV crowned Britney as "Queen Of Videos"].
I don't think Piece Of Me is all that good, it's only just fine, but I do want it to win because Britney deserves a VMA award, and at this point I don't really care which of her videos wins one.
Also, you may laugh, but to me, Video Of The Year is the video that made most noise/made people hold their breaths. There's no doubt that Gimme More was that kind of video this year, and although the video itself is bad, I think it should have won this award.
