babe u worry too much as if ur allergic to some pop, nicki just does what she wants she always said u cant label me, shes doing the full rap songs for the urban fans but for the GP everyone needs SOME pop influence somehow to slay. and dont tweet her that, she will probably report ur ass
Because not everyone can be as fearless as Iggy and that's perfectly ok. Everyone has their own lane.
how is iggy fearless again??? nicki paved her way by having pop influences, work obv had pop influences, change ur life, bounce, fancy, every single she put out had pop influences. so take several seats
Some of y'all don't get my point. Those songs I mentioned I LOVE them. That's not the issue, it's just that I want a single without singing for once. As if full rap songs can't appeal to a pop audience!?
I keep using Dance A$$ as an example. I want a hip-hop banger that crosses over to pop radio without the song trying to. That's all.
Besides that why not give Did It On'em full single treatment? It's cool to go #1 on Rap Songs and maybe only like 10-15 on Hot 100, especially if you want to appeal to the urban community since they are the ones that'll buy her album
She has pop fans and that's the thing. Why abandon a part of your fan base to cater to another part? Why not just wrap it all it one. That's what she does and will continue to do for the lead single.
Basically.
As long as it's not too generic ala Starships and the other Pop songs from that era she'll be fine.
She can release full rap songs later during the era.

There's a difference between having pop influences and having a song like Starships which is completely pop Iggy has always had that sound.

Why would she have given DIOE full single treatment if it started smashing just when Super Bass was?
Did you forget that Super Bass was also a massive hit on Urban radio?
And Nicki's first official single was Massive Attack. Point?
what are you even talking about Are we not talking about lead singles from their last projects? In which case it sounds like Nicki is relying on pop yet again (see starships) and Iggy's first single was Work.
