This show was absolutely phenomenal. The best concert I have ever been to by far.

Her energy was legendary. She fed off the crowd so well and we fed off her energy equally well. The whole show was designed to let us have the best damn time ever, and she succeeded. The costumes were ON POINT, the vocals were amazing save Gypsy (which is a hard one to sing as it is). i would go again in a heartbeat.

The GA is about half empty, and that's not because the tickets weren't sold. The initial number of GA ticket put on sale sold out quickly, then they added even more tickets and even those sold out hours before the actual show.

It's not like the GA tickets are cheap so that they always focus more on selling the seats more than the normal standing, I really don't understand.

They could easily fit more people in there. It's not like security forces them to keep it at half capacity, let's be real, that is a little bit too much.

I think there are a couple of factors that go into play here.

1) Gaga said she wanted people to be able to walk around and view the stage at different areas. You can't do this if the GA is too packed.

2) You can't have a completely full GA in case of emergencies.

With Gaga's shows, people tend to move up towards to the stage(s) and pack tightly together, which subsequently leaves space in the back.





Above are two "crowds" with thirty "people" each. The top one has the "people" spread out, while the bottom one has the same thirty "people" but pushed together like how you see at a Gaga concert. The venue can't really predict how tightly people are going to be packed in the GA, so they sell GA tickets depending on how much room there will be as a regular crowd (first picture). I hope this makes sense. So basically if the crowd wasn't so tightly packed at the front, the GA would look completely full.

Hmm… it didn't feel just like a joke, that's for sure. It certainly seemed in line with her anti-haters messaging this era, so neither was it a huge shock to hear it. (In fact, I thought it was something she'd said at every artRAVE thus far until I got on ATRL and saw it was news from the Cleveland show!)

However, I would hardly say she actually brought down the mood with unjust anger or anything, and I definitely saw nothing but waving and clapping and heard nothing but a roar of approval in response. The arena was as full before she said it as it was full at the end of the show, haha.

And I guess as far as my opinion/reaction as an audience member goes, I loved it. Probably one of my favorite moments, in truth. Like, I think the general attitude about criticism she has is hurting her career, but at that moment I was just elated to hear her so passionate about something. She's invested in ARTPOP, she's invested in the tour based on ARTPOP, and she wants to convey that she stands by it in, I guess, the face of what she feels are "fair-weather fans."

I'll tell you one thing: I'd take her screaming "**** OFF" over her boring piano monologues any day of the week. Now those made me want to fall asleep or go to the bathroom lol.

The thing with the ga is that when they determine the amount of people that can fit into the ga area, they count each person as a block. And those blocks are gridded into a map of the GA and if everyone were not to squash toward the front and were to stand in their "block", the ga would be about full leaving space for security reasons. Each block would give each person in that block a little bit of room, but since they compact together towards the front, that excess room in their blocks are removed.

With the BTWB I arrived at 6pm, and STILL managed to get into the Monster Pitt. I might go down though at 1 or 2pm though this time.

Question: Is it worth it to try to get near the front of the main stage? want to throw a letter to Gaga but I'm worried that I won't have a good view of her, with the stage so high up and all Is it even possible to move around during the show?

I showed up at 6:45pm and got a great spot in front of the middle catwalk. I personally don't think it's worth trying to get there early and be up front, because for half the show she's not even on the main stage and you'll be looking at her from behind. Get as close to the middle catwalk as possible and make sure you can see the main stage and you'll be SO CLOSE to her when she comes out and does Manicure, Venus and the other songs on the catwalks. Careful though, because the further back from the middle catwalk you are, the harder it will be to see the main stage because it's so high up. You'll still be super close to her for over half the show though.
