It's not even the same level praise and recognition. Black artist are expected to do well in urban. White artist will tends to be better than average, exceptional whenever they come out with urban music. This has been displayed throughout history.
And let's get it straight, without that Billboard rule that allows itunes position dominate the urban charts, Iggy wouldn't be number one, at least not so soon.
