Reviews from Detroit's newspapers coming in... Oh God!
Detroit— Lady Gaga’s Artrave concert Saturday night at Joe Louis Arena was like a stalled engine that just wouldn’t turn over. It barely even coughed or sputtered, and after an hour and 50 minutes, it flat out died, junk for the scrap heap.
It’s hard to even say what went wrong, but what went right would be a much shorter conversation. The show simply had no spark, and it never got off the ground. It was Gaga’s “Artpop” alright — the kind of pop that occurs when you poke a hole in a balloon.

Just goes to show you how differently people can react to the same thing. Especially if they wanted to feel a certain way.

This won't be the first tour, nor the last one to get a bad review.
Everyone tries to be objective when they write a review, but it's hard most of the time to not infiltrate your own opinion in those words.
Not everybody has to like the show.
We already know it is very hard to please everybody..

Reviews are always really good or really bad for this tour, it's weird.

You know they have Google alerts set up for both Gaga and the artRAVE. I'm imagining how excited they got when their alert went off and they saw it was a negative review.
There are only two negative reviews so far, one from someone who praised Femme Fatale and the other who praised the Bangerz Tour, aka stans. The only people getting their life from negative reviews are negative people with hate-filled lives who spend their every waking moment hating on Gaga. At the end of the day, are reviews going to stop people from showing up? No. Are they going to stop the show from succeeding? No. Let them get their lives since nothing else in their lives is fulfilling their needs.

Wait, that guy's review isn't even that bad. The Madonna fan just copied and pasted the negative parts. The guy just didn't seem to like ARTPOP or the way the setlist was put together, which makes sense if you don't like ARTPOP as an album.

Gaga’s stage, which used a series of bridges to connect pod-like stages scattered across the arena floor, allowed her to move freely about the room. She had a keyboard at one end where she stopped to play “Born This Way,” with just her voice and her piano, a reminder of how talented a singer-songwriter she is underneath all the costumes. Just moments before that, she was outfitted in a series of inflatable tentacles that made her look like a cross between an extra in “The Fifth Element” and a child’s pool toy.

Fans threw articles of clothing, stuffed animals and notes on stage throughout the show, and Gaga stopped and read one of them aloud at one point. It was a heartfelt letter written by a fan in the front row (it flew onto stage attached to a stuffed Pegasus), and in it the fan described how much Gaga had inspired him and others. It was a touching moment in a show that needed those sort of personal connections, but it awkwardly transitioned into Gaga performing “Sexxx Dreams.”

The comments.

Once again, Adam showed just how clueless he is when it comes to pop music, maybe he should stick to what he knows best, nothing!

I disagree by the time the show started it looked like every seat was full in the arena. I noticed there was a wide variety of age ranges there I would say between 15-50 yr olds and everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. She makes great pop dance music and it was a blast!

My niece Kellien texted me at midnight to tell me "IT WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!". I guess this writer did not want to be at this concert, or he just did not like the first few song, but it is plainly evident that he did not care about this assignment, and went ahead and mailed in a piece of garbage anyway. Like you'd say to a dog who just pooped the carpet: "BAD WRITER!!!! BAD!!!!".

Really? That's funny because I was there last night and every single person in that audience was having an absolute blast. Don't know what show you saw but everyone knew the words and everyone was dancing to every single one of her songs. Nice try pal.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with this review. I have seen GaGa four times now. This show was the most FUN I've had at a show. It was fun, the music was FANTASTIC and GaGa did what she does best: she performed. It sounds like this reviewer is a bit biased towards her older material. Also, the majority of the ppl were drunk out of their minds, which is not a typical GaGa atmosphere. The fans I was with were awesome and I can't wait to go again.
