It's actually kind of strange. Last time we had all the songs expect maybe one or two at this point. Now we just have West Coast and the demo version of Black Beauty, which is "just" a bonus track.


Oh, anybody caught from the interview she recorded with Auerbach in January? I bet Emile Haynie was supposed to be the main producer for Ultraviolence and then she completly changed her plan.

Maybe she wanted a cohesive sound so she decided that Auerbach was a better choice for the structure of the album…

Obviously. I know she wanted to stay loyal to her team of producers, but it wasn't going the direction she wanted it to go. In the summer she sounded so down when she talked about new music.
Probably she was aware that she had something, but it could not be executed the way she wanted it and then she met Auerbach and it clicked.

I hope that when she finishes her US tour there will be more to hear from the album. The tour is over in less than two weeks on May30th.

That was the sound that she needed, not too common like Marroon5 or Coldplay but also not too heavy like Linkin Park or Guns n Roses. I can only think of Jack White (White Stripes) who could have produced such a rough album.
