"Let's be honest in general media cares only about white pop girls because they are easier to market and they are more relatable to general demographic of USA.
I mean if we look at history of pop divas they are all basically white.
Black artists such as Rihanna and Beyonce cannot garner such attention from general public and media because they are still seen as "alien" in USA. They can't be sweethearts of america like taylor or jennifer lawrence, can't be sex symbols like marilyn or britney cuz of eurocentric beauty standards, they can't cause controversy like miley because media usually doesn't bash black poeple in fear of being accused racist.
Basically it's impossible for them to be "it" pop girl no matter how hard they try."
