Pringles era is weird. Started out perfectly and then when everyone first heard "Unconditionally" we thought it would be a huge hit. It sounded modern, super catchy, mass appealing, etc. Yet it tanked. Then "Birthday" really did sound like another huge smash for Katy yet it's tanking too. Perhaps its just too generic and sounds too much like TGIF? The public is tired of pop girls singles about sex with this disco sound? Who knows. I thought she'd have another Teenage Dream singles-wise but now I'm not sure anything else can be a hit. The public is fickle.
