Her team never said that, that was made up, and who said it was supposed to be a "quick lil single"? It was the theme for the James Bond film, not the lead single of her next album.

Oh, I know they are. They just look nearly identical. Maleficent almost looks like a sequel to SWATS. I just read that the SWATS director did the Maleficent re-shoot so that explains the similarities.

The CGI in Maleficent looks terrible. The SFX work looks unfinished in all trailers.
