I only started about a year ago. I had a friend get me into it so I learned a lot from him and his bodybuilder cousin. I literally could not be ****ed to go to gym. He would beg me [mostly to use me and make me spot him] but once I started getting into it and noticing changes, that just motivated me.

I weighed 139 lbs at my last physical exam in April 2013. As of today at the gym scale, I weigh 179.4 lbs.
literally so much improvement

SO close to 180. My goal is 200 [idc if its summer] and then I'll start cutting.

I've been lifting on and off since 2009, had a personal trainer, but didn't get serious about it until last year too.

I think for me the diet is the hardest part. Finding the right foods is hard, and eating in a caloric surplus to maximize your gains. I have to eat on an on-campus diner and ended up having to charge an extra $200 in dining points because my meal plan ran out early.

Ok I need help, I'm 5'11. I used to weigh 290, now I weigh 250 (in about 6 months), but I'm at a plateau currently, and I don't know what to do. I don't really work out that much, if I start, what should I start off doing?

How many calories should I eat? ...thanks in advance, I have no idea about nutrition, working out, etc.

I only started off with whey protein like everyone else and that's the type that worked better for me so I take Optimum Nutrition Whey [Cookies n milk ]

I blend a shake every morning of oatmeal, milk, protein, banana, peanut butter, 2 eggs, flaxseed oil that's my 1,050 calorie mass gainer for the day.
And I started adding vitamin and other supplements when I realized I was actually making gains
I take 1 Animal Pak vitamin packet every day after my mid deal.

I've gotten so good at swallowing... pills.

And I also take 3 Fish oil pills for my joints.

Pre work out I take C4 preworkout cuz that's the only one that tastes decent and works good.

Post workout I take creatine and then have my protein shake just with water.

I also take some green tea extract pills and Synephrine and chromium to burn fat before days where I do hard cardio

omg at this essay let me bookmark

Congrats on the lost weight, that's amazing! Start small. Buy a exercise/yoga mat and just do simple exercises. Commit to doing them a few times a week. I do lunges, squats, sit-ups, push ups, etc. Don't over-push yourself, start with what you can handle.

I used to go at night, like kinda late. 10:30 ish-1am. Mostly because it was crowd free. But also self consciously when I first started lifting
Got over that. Now I go like at 2pm-4pm before the 9-5 crowd get out of work and gym becomes a mess.

damn, that's impressive i want to add on more muscle but it's hard with summer coming up. i don't really wanna add on any fat weight, but it's hard to gain serious muscle without the fat
