It's a procedural sure, but the way they incorporate Alicia's private life, her work life and everything around it is truly outstanding. Sometimes the case of the week barely gets any screentime, sometimes it's all about the case. Not to mention it's the one show that grasps the importance and use of technology in the modern world.
