I just don't understand how saying a user is ignorant for stereotyping an entire continent is abrasive. Here is the definition of ignorant in case some of you uninformed mods didn't know:
ig·no·rant
/ˈignərənt/
adjective
adjective: ignorant
lacking knowledge or awareness in general
And the fact that it literally took only 2 minutes to process the report shows that clearly the mod who warned it didn't even put any amount of effort into it to atleast make it seem a tiny bit fair. I want answers.
I was worried the Swifties were gonna try to unite with the Little Carrie Underwoodsters or something.
Reported and warned for "Nicknames".
"Little Carrie Underwoodsters" is a nickname for her fanbase. Idk what they are called, but it is NOT a nickname for Carrie herself. No more of a nickname than "Swifties" or any other fanbase name that has the artist's name in it.
Doesn't say anything in the rules about fanbase nicknames, as long as they aren't flamebait. Can we reverse it now that we're clear?
The Solange gifs are okay, they're so blurry. But of course when you use them they have to fit the context of the thread. Graphic ones and disturbing/disconcerting ones (like maiko's example) are warnable. If people ask here whether a gif is okay we usually just say no so you can't complain when they get warned.
