She has ties to both her husband and her sister so why would ANY sane person think she needs to step in-between ESPECIALLY when there is already security there? Jay Z actually seems to reach out to her first when they're leaving the elevator at 3:07... but he's probably just getting into a defensive stance because he can tell she's going to go off again. I think she thought he was going to threaten her or something because she just snaps the second he touches her.

Also the body guard is way off his game, not only could he barely control the female but he also hits the wrong buttons on the elevator. Sent them up instead of down after hitting the stop button. Imagine if someone was really trying to do damage to them, he could barely hold down a skinny woman. Guess they won't fire him because he knows too much though.

I think Beyonce is pissed at both of them for their behaviour so she's just silently seething. I'm sure you know people who do this, instead of fighting they just get really quiet and say nothing until the other person just calms down and goes away. Notice how the only time she really intervenes is when they've reached level 0, leaving the elevator? She's still not getting involved or picking a side. It's clear that there's no one immediately outside the elevator so she's not just intervening for appearance's sake. It's more like she realizes that she can't leave the elevator without the body guard.. but if she leaves first with the body guard then Jay Z and Solange will be alone. So she seems to just block Solange's rampage and send Jay-Z and the body guard out, and then follows. I don't interpret it as Jay-Z deserving whatever lashing Solange is giving him... she's in an awkward position and just hates both of them for it. Really though, why should Beyonce physically intervene, that's what they're paying the body guard to do. She probably thought he had it handled. And quite frankly, didn't want to step out of the elevators looking a mess for the paparazzi.

We'll never know what happened though. I feel a bit bad for Jay-Z, twitter seems convinced that he must have beat down Beyonce when we actually have no idea what happened. That can really hurt a man's career. If it's true, he deserves it... if not though, it just sucks for him.
