It is alright for the label when it goes 3 or 2 weeks before releasing to pre sales.

First of all, we the fans are not important for sales. We've seen that with Artpop.

But we are important for exploring options for the label.

With Lana, we have an artist who goes in a new direction, so they want to know the thinking of us about WC and the different versions of the song.

I've said it before we are speaking here for the label of an 60-100 million Dollar endeavor.

that's right, ad instead of deleting the original version from itunes they could've added another version to help the song go higher which it had BIG potential tbh, they ****ed it up!

They should just add the Radio Edit that was supposed to be for German speaking countries only, make it a worldwide release and send it to radios.

Nope, they don't make much money with a single because of the completed function when the album is released.

So they wait with the right radio edit 3 week before release date to send it to the radio.

This things since 1 month was not for the GP, it was just discussing stuff for us.

What I'm saying is they have, God bless for the Label, with Lana an album seller.

They don't need that much money for radio deals. If she would be a single seller they would be more stringent with the marketing on i.tunes and radio.

The best Rock/Pop band ever, Fleetwood Mac had only 1 number one in the US. Your label just goes with the band and the artist goes with the label, that's the best.

Look, Katy is a radio and single giant in the US, but when she thinks her next single is Unconditionally because it's personal for her, then even her label can't make a hit out of it.

no, haha, i doubt it.

a surprise release seems unlikely, considering there still is no confirmed date from her, but i really doubt that. ugh, i'm just so anxious. what if the ****ing thing leaks before there's even an official release date?

GODDDDDD I LOVEEEE the radio mix of West Coast. When I first heard it I was like meh, but it came on full blast in my car and I fell in love. It just breathes a complete different life into the song.

I mean, I still prefer the original but both version pull at my heartstrings in the right ways.
