I think WIN program was the worst thing ever done for KPOP. A rookie is supposed to earn their way into their spot not just be given it from being seen on TV. And no we have all these new rookie programs with SM and JYP who are just trying to create fans before they even debut but why are you a fan? they haven't proven anything. They haven't gone on to a professional scale and actually competed.
Gotta disagree with you on this one. Are you saying they didn't earn their right to debut? You make it seem like they just stood around during the show when in reality they had to battle their long time friends just to debut. Whats the use of the weekly performances then? The songs they composed? The weekly voting that they WON? I became a fan because I saw potential in them after watching these performances. If you think about it, WIN is basically the trainee process gone public, in this case the public chose, not YG himself.
But I do agree about the fan thing. YG is smart for doing the show. . . WINNER has a pretty big fanbase now.

So
No no no, i don't mean that. But I'm thinking about when SNSD and 2NE1 and 2PM were trainees and how they had stories where they had to clean the bathrooms of the agency and wash the windows and more along with practice, school, they didn't get the luxuries trainees have now where its just rehearsal on top of more rehearsal on top of more rehearsal.

I didnt know they did that. . .
Well if thats what you meant, then maybe they did it before WIN started? Most of them spent multiple years under YG as trainees so its plausible & of course except those who joined the company more recently.
Though tbh, I dont think it should matter. They did what they had to do (audition, perform, train etc.) and thats what matters. They're performers, not janitors.
