First female and first non-American to cover XXL Freshman, featured on their best female rappers of all time list. XXL is one of the biggest hip-hop publications. Always requested interviews by major hip-hop related media.
Iggy is also headlining the pre-show of two of the biggest hip-hop events in the US, HOT 97's SummerJam and Power 106's PowerHouse (and this happened pre-Fancy).
Praised/given props by the likes of T.I., Nas, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kanye wanted to sign her etc etc etc.
Out of the "new girls" Iggy is BY FAR the one that's been embraced the most by that community. And as you're all saying, she hasn't even been making music that caters to them YET.

Just because the INDUSTRY embraces her doesn't mean the fans do. Iggy may be kind of liked and some urban fans might like "Murda Bizness" (I know I do) but at the end of the day they are not buying her music. She's not getting J. Cole numbers for her album, she's not even getting Pusha T numbers. I mean ffs, Future outsold her without any legitimate hits.
Iggy has a pop following and her albums to singles ratio proves it
