I wish RIAA/IFPI would count streams as a seperate entity from sales instead of trying to merge them
Free streams will never be the same as people actually buying stuff. It also makes the IFPI singles ranking useless because can't tell the actual sales fromthe free streams apart
Why? The streams are already downgraded by a big amount in most countries in order to be equal to a certain amount of sales so it's already been adjusted.
Also sales are dead in some countries. Spotify is like their main thing so it wouldn't make sense not to count streaming.
That's literally NOT an argument.
