You're wrong, literally. The venue allowed her to book the venue during basketball season without thinking about possible games that the arena would need to house. The venue even took full responsibility and apologized.

No worries, it happens more than you think. I'm pretty sure everyone has to use a valid e-mail address when purchasing tickets, so that's how they'll contact people.
