It looks like the they brought out the cannons at :48 but I don't remember seeing anybody tweet about actually seeing stuffed animals being shot into the crowd.

They only shot out mayyybeee 5 or 6? It was disappointing really. Then one of her dancers completely failed at operating it for the second launch
It's become about drugs because some of her more avid fans are upset that while I like the show I have something I don't like. Like with the MDNA tour or any production I have seen. There are things I love/like and things I don't. That's how life actually works. Nothing is 100 percent amazing and brilliant.
I liked most things about the show. The cotumes, the set list the dancing (mostly) but hey, I said I didn't like the drug refrences and apparently that's totally unreasonable. These people can't take it unless everything she does is constantly praised. I mean, all you have to do is scroll through these pages and you'll see bang up replying to every single person that has said something critical and telling them they are wrong.
No one can have their opinion here. If you don't like the show 100 percent and think it's brilliant... not just like it. The personal insults come rolling in.

It's not that some can't take criticism. Perhaps it's that oftentimes, when there's a thread with Gaga's name in it, you're one of the first members to enter it and say something shady or discredit her or bash her. All that kind of makes it hard for one to take your critiques seriously. Especially when it's threads like this - threads that mostly stans will be in - it's especially hard to take such comments seriously. So no, it's not that some stans can't handle criticism.

Asking the crowd a question about drug use is not promoting it. Promoting it is telling your fans you need it as part of the creative process.
