Yes. If she did things the traditional way, DIL would've gone #1 and XO would've at least gone top 20. With the right promotion (because I honestly know 2 pop girls who could release a song with no promotion and go top ten) she could go #1

Everyone knows that Beyonce is a force to be reckoned with, her worldwide starpower is undeniable. To try and claim that she'll never have another hit single again is like asking if one of the other pop girls need hype for their album (i.e. lead singles) to remain successful. The answer is yes. It's obvious that the single success of BEYONCE suffered because she literally released everything at once and hardly promoted her singles. I doubt it is a method that will ever be used by another artist again. However, she still has the success of the album to flaunt. And of course, her future Album Of The Year Grammy award.

That's just an assumption tho, what if everyone ignored the single just like Run The World? What if it only got buzz because of the whole secret iTunes release? It got a video, promo and airplay yet didn't sell well, nothing would've changed it.
