Just one era back her visibility was perfect. Not too much (like IASF) and not too little. The problem was just the music didn't resonate with the larger public (still performed great for an RnB album).
Now that people love her music and the album is a hit right off the bat, she gives two performances then disappears.
If she's everywhere she'll lose her star power, I think she wants to do the opposite of what she did on 4. Its not just about the music anymore its about her brand, she wants to keep people interested in her.
Beyoncé has very much got to the point in her career where its about content control, when you've been in public eye for so long its easy for people to get bored of you unless you don't give them what they want
I think its a double whammy of not only does she not want to do the crazily heavy promo schedule like B'Day of IASF.. but I think if she did it would actually hurt her more than it would help her

I'm here for the Hive and the Navy to end the wars, and I will give Rihanna credit when it's due, but she won't dethrone Beyoncé from her position at the very top of the music industry and if you think otherwise the wars will continue. I'm saying this in the most non-delusional, stan way possible.

She's everywhere even with no new music and has remained so for almost 20 years. Self-titled was more about the music than any of her previous albums - her brand and people being interested in her is what sold 3 million albums with zero performances to promote. A brand she's crafted since she was in Destiny's Child.
