Sade is the only example this decade I can think of where an artist really slayed after literally doing nothing in the public eye for years and years. Her debut #s shocked everyone.
But that's Sade's whole schtick. She disappears for ten years and then releases an album/goes on tour. Her fans know what the deal is. She has a very dedicated and older fanbase plus she gains new followers during every break. Queen
