That said, they're only doing this to less than 200 stores. There are still over 1200 stores in the UK to choose from. Searching for a bacon sub is hardly going to be a case of scouring the Gobi desert for an oasis.

What about non Islamic people being forced to eat Halal? Sure, it won't harm them, but it won't harm a Muslim to eat non-halal meat. It's against there religious beliefs, yes. Why should a Catholic be forced to eat halal meat in a Catholic country?
I'm GLAD Subway is giving this to Muslim people, people are struggling to understand what I'm clearly saying.

I live in Ilford where 50% of the Population is probably Muslims, I have no problem with them personally but I have a Subway nearby that I can easily get to.
I'm not here for me having to travel far away to a completely different one.

I completely get that but he could have just said that. The thing is, he didn't.
Plus the fact that he could not see the clear hostility in CaptainMusic's post showcases that.
You do not understand how hard it is for Muslims to find Halal stores, and if they do. They can barely every eat fast food because they're restricted to cooking. The fact that you can't give up 20% of your stores to make it a little bit easier for Muslims is unbelievable. Now, I'm not with the complete removal of bacon from the Menu but I do understand it.

You could just go to a different Subway. You don't have some right protected by law to have whatever you want at whatever store you want. If a store doesn't serve bacon or ham, you don't get to have bacon or ham. Why are you trying to make it into some racial issue?

My friend I went to college with said it was because pigs are dirty animals (they roll around in their own dirt/ **** etc) and that's why they can't eat them. I'm sure there's further reasons, though.

Jimmy, it's a business. If a business thinks it's a better financial decision to only have halal meat at certain stores in heavily Muslim areas, they're going to do it because it will make them more money. They don't care about your feelings about a pork sub. They care about maximizing their profit. You're not that special

omg im near ilford lmao an yeah our surrounding areas are probably the most asian dense but alot of non muslims go to ilford/walthamstow/leytonstone subways still so pork should be served!

the thing is we dont care if the meat is halal but we care that pork is taken away why cant a store be halal and serve pork so noone is cut out?

Subway is a business and there's not a chance in hell that they are going to inconvenience and alienate the majority of their customers who will obviously be non-muslim. That would be massively counter-productive and the opposite of what they aim to achieve with these halal Subways.  They're trying to appeal to a wider market, not minimize it, so no one is suddenly gonna find their local subway shut down for a halal one and not be able to find another normal Subway nearby.
