At first the confusing stories just led me to believe that placed info was put out to confuse so when the album DOES come its TOTALLY a surprise. But now i have no ****ing idea what to think.





She needs a new label ASAP. Island/Def Jam have been ****ing her up ever since E=MC2.

I totally agree that she needs to leave Def Jam (Island Def Jam has recently been shuttered) and sign with Republic Records. I was expecting "#Beautiful#" to actually be an success. Mariah just needs to "let go" and this album because its done. Jermaine Dupri can't do anything but talk.

Is it possible the label said that to try to turn it back into a "surprise" release? Like to make people stop thinking that it's coming on May 6th (or earlier) and so we would genuinely be surprised when it comes out on that date because we're not expecting it until "late May?" A bit of a reach, but It's the first thought I had when I read that.

Whoever is running this show is basically eating dirt at this point cause it's in the ground.
They're screwing up royally, as they have with Mariah for the past 3 albums (E=MC2, Memoirs, and now this). The A&R'ing is terrible, they clearly don't see eye to eye, and they don't want to give her proper promotion and push. How counterproductive does it look to completely contradict your artist the day their cover article on a major industry publication is released? It's like they want her to fail.

And btw, mark my words, as soon as this album drops, she is running like hell over to LA Reid at Epic Records.

I wouldn't be surprised if the album is an incomplete mess. It seems like they have no idea what's popular or what wouldn't get her dragged by critics. This album won't be good and I feel bad for those of you who haven't accepted that yet.
