I have to agree with you. Let say that they release Bday just so there is new music to play. That's fine.

But what is they promote it and do all there best to make it a hit. It will promote The tour, the album and Katy will have another hit under her belt. as simple a that.

A lot you make this thread a drag whenever something new comes out and doesn't shoot straight to the top. There are singles not doing as well, and their fans don't act like this. Makes me think some people on here only stan for success

When I first watched Firework and on the verge of crying. I didn't think about how much it sold.

When I was listening to Teenage Dream (album) my entire high school years becoming the soundtrack of my teenage life. I wasn't thinking about how much money Katy was making from this.

I love Birthday. I want other people to love it too. as simple as that.

That was with a lead/second single, so its more likely. Not saying its an excuse, but a fourth single generally doesn't climb up iTunes at an ET rate
