Everyone just expects a single to take off the moment its released just because it's been released. If the song went to the top of the charts it wouldnt likely have much longetivity. The thing about Katy is that she always has albums and singles with legs.
I can't at so many people assuming its a flop because its a couple weeks into its release and isn't topping the charts yet. Not EVERY single takes off right away, look at the top 10 right now, a majority of the songs slowly crept their way to the top position over time.
This is the point people should be reminding themselves of!
